Human/Goblin Compromise

But wait! Before you start I’ll have to give some exposition on this project. The idea for this came from when I saw the popularity Katawa Shoujo, a visual novel. I haven’t actually played the game, but what interested me was the idea of a visual novel is. Essentially visual novels are just Choose Your Own Adventures. It got me thinking that hey you know what, making a CYOA is definitely doable for me. I could make the bare minimum of what counts as a game easily. Also, I was also interested in experimenting with a dynamic experience after playing Alpha Protocol.
As for the end result, I’ll be honest it’s very amateur. I’m not a very god writer, so the writing is kind of bad. For the art I was trying to make it sort of look like quick sketches, sort of like the hero is quickly drawing down what they are seeing, but the pictures aren’t amazing. Also, you can kind of ignore the deaths, since they are basically a joke. And it’s possible for you to go in an endless loop… but maybe that’s a metaphor. But you know what, I thought it was fun to make and I learned a lot while making it.

The goblin king greets you, but looks deeply concerned. It reiterates the situation between the goblins and the humans. It adds that since they were driven from the surface; they have little access to food and water. The goblins could easily die by starvation if the humans garrison them out. The goblin king tells you the only way for them to survive would be to severely damage Logstin somehow, and the easiest way to do that would be by killing Logstin’s king. By weakening them, it will allow the goblins more time to recuperate and fight back.
